At Hands Supported Living Services COVID-19 Guidance
This page was most recently reviewed on 24th October 2022.

It is likely that COVID-19 will continue to be a factor in our lives and At Hand Supported Living Services; we want to ensure that all our employees and customers continue to remain as safe as is possible. We will continue to update our company-wide protocols and procedures as frequently as required aligning with government guidance.
Although people of all ages can get COVID-19, those of us who are elderly or have pre-existing medical conditions such as asthma, diabetes, or heart disease are at higher risk of becoming severely ill if we contract the infection. Since these categories will include many of our customers, please ensure you follow this guidance fully.
We ask all employees to observe the following our PPE guidance
Our Visiting Carers with symptoms of COVID-19 must take a lateral flow test.
If tests positive for COVID-19:
-
Visiting Carer should not attend work until they have had 2 consecutive negative lateral flow test results (taken at least 24 hours apart), they feel well, and they do not have a high temperature.
-
The first lateral flow test should only be taken from 5 days after day 0 (the day their symptoms started, or the day their test was taken if did not have symptoms).
-
If both lateral flow tests results are negative, they may return to work immediately after the second negative lateral flow test result on day 6, if their symptoms have resolved, or their only symptoms are cough or anosmia which can last for several weeks.
Our Live-In Carers with symptoms of COVID-19 must take a lateral flow test.
